Reminder: Upcoming UCLA Statistics Seminar

Time: 3 - 4 pm, Tuesday, May 27, 2003

Place: 6627 Math Sciences Bldg.

Speaker: Persi Diaconis, Department of Statistics, Stanford University

Subject: Bayesian Analysis of Reversible Markov Chains

Abstract:
In joint work with Silke Rolles, Bayesian methods have been
developed for analyzingMarkov Chain data when the chain is
reversible. This includes closed form conjugate priors, a
version of De Finetti\'s Theorem and characterization theorems.
Examples are given.
